Original Poster - Chris Jones 5458 32520 Get Link Report Abuse Updating all calendar events start and end times after being migrated to GCal with a wrong time zone 0 Recommended Answers 0 Relevant Answers 2 Replies 0 Upvotes 1 Recommended Answer 0 Recommended Answers 1 Relevant Answer 0 Relevant Answers Good morning, A user based in the UK (GMT0) has been migrated from Outlook to Google Calendar but their original time zone and region was incorrectly set as Spain (GMT1).

All meetings from Outlook were recreated using UK time but in the wrong time zone (so a 1-2pm meeting starting at 1pm UK time had been created as 1pm Madrid time in GCal).

To make clear, its not as simple as changing the time zone and GCal shifting the start and end times to reflect the new time zone as Ive seen searching all morning across the forums.

Its not a case of simply updating the time zone settings as the meeting start and end times migrated from Outlook are correct, but they have been migrated to GCal in the wrong time zone and region.

All events, since correcting the time zone and region, now show as starting one hour earlier UK time than they actually do (in this case, starting at 12:00 midday instead of 13:00 as it should).

Without having to go through each recurring and unique event to update the time zone (and he may not be able to do so anyway as hes not the originator of most of them), is there a way en-masse to update every event so that the events start and end times all shift one hour to the right I tried exporting as an ics file, opening in Notepad, updating DTSTART: and DTEND: to DTSTART;TZIDEuropeLondon: and DTEND;TZIDEuropeLondon and importing back into Google Calendar but to no avail.

Perhaps a script of some sort to refresh the event start and end times, clear the calendar and migrate again etc Preferably not just adding a secondary time zone as a display workaround.

The only tool I can recommend for this is GCalToolkit (because Im the author), which allows you to shift events en-masse forwards or backwards by a fixed interval with the CopyMove function associated with a Shift.

Is this, perhaps because we went to Daylight Savings Time recently and the appointments were created in the winter Or did something else change This seems related to the original post.

In may case, the functionality is fine.moving the appointment is working as I expect.
